Daily Eats review of Café Boa – Paul and I started with dessert. Starting with dessert is always fun! Café Boa created a twist on traditional tiramisu – called the Napoleon, thick layer of coca mouse that smelts in your mouth and surprisingly the bottom layer is kitkat candy. We ate every bite with enthusiasm. And I washed it down with a Lorkeet Sparkling Austrian Shiraz. I marveled at the texture and taste of the sparkling Shiraz. Liking it so much I tried Fox Creek Vixen the other sparkling Austrian Shiraz Café Boa has on the wine menu, which was excellent. I never tried a sparkling Shiraz and actually really enjoyed it.
Paul had the BOW-THAI SHRIMP - Farfalle pasta tossed with our spicy Thai pesto of cilantro, peanuts, red peppers and topped with grilled shrimp. He remarked it was delicious.
I had the RIGATONI PUTTENESCA - Rigatoni in a zesty sauce of tomato, garlic, basil, chili peppers, mushrooms, capers and black olives. I love a thick tasty red sauce and I added slices of sweet Italian sausage which really enhanced the taste experience.
Café Boa has is a lovely setting with an exceptional staff. I highly recommend.
